Miniature Schnauzers - How to Adopt a Dog
Rescue organizations place unwanted Miniature Schnauzers into suitable pre-screened homes. Each dog is checked by a veterinarian, tested for heartworms, given all the necessary shots, spayed or neutered and treated for medical problems that are found in abandoned dogs.
More often than not, a Miniature Schnauzer is in need of a new home for no fault of its own. Most rescue dogs are between the age of 5 and 8 years of age. They are not as difficult to cope with as young puppies. However, there can occur other problems. There is no denying, any rescue dog is a personality with its unique background.
Foster homes evaluate the dogs for potential behavior problems. Veterinarians, who cooperate with rescue organizations, evaluate them for potential medical problems.
In order to adopt a Miniature Schnauzer, take the first step and fill out an adoption application. Your application will be reviewed, your references checked and if you are approved for adoption, you may start preparing your home for a new member of the family.
